Refund Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

Operated by Individual (servsafeskip.com)

Our promise: if ServSafe® Skip doesn't work on a supported course and browser, we'll refund you under the 14-day guarantee below. This policy is in addition to, and never limits, any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

1. Who Issues Your Refund

Your purchase is made from Paddle, which is the seller and merchant of record for the transaction. Paddle processes payments and administers refund decisions and payouts to your original payment method. We (the product supplier and licensor) review refund requests and approve or recommend refunds; Paddle then issues them. Billing questions, including the status of a refund once approved, are handled by Paddle.

2. Your Statutory Rights Are Not Affected

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under applicable consumer-protection law, or under Paddle's buyer terms. Where the law gives you a right of withdrawal, cooling-off period, or refund that cannot be waived, that right applies regardless of what this policy says.

European Economic Area, UK, and similar jurisdictions: if you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content, that right applies unless and until you give your express prior consent to delivery beginning during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that doing so ends your withdrawal right, and you receive confirmation of that consent. Where such consent has not been obtained, your statutory withdrawal right remains available.

3. Our 14-Day Guarantee

Independent of any statutory right, we will refund your purchase in full if you request it within 14 days of the original purchase and one of the following applies:

  • It didn't work on a supported course and browser, as measured by the objective test in Section 4;
  • You never received access — your payment completed but you could not obtain your access line;
  • Duplicate or accidental purchase — you were charged more than once, or bought by mistake.

4. The Refund Test (How "Didn't Work" Is Determined)

To keep decisions fair and consistent, a "didn't work" claim is assessed as follows:

  • Supported environment. A current version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on a desktop computer (Windows or macOS). The product is not supported on phones or tablets.
  • Troubleshooting first. We'll ask you to confirm the documented steps: opening the console in the correct course frame, and (where Chrome blocks pasting) entering allow pasting first. Many reports are resolved this way.
  • Evidence. A short description of what you saw (for example, the exact console message), the course you were taking, and your browser and version. Screenshots help but are not required.
  • Exclusions. A refund is not available where the product worked and you changed your mind, where the failure resulted from an unsupported environment or not following the instructions, or where access was revoked for a breach of the Terms of Service.
  • Decision. We make the final determination in good faith, acting reasonably and consistently with this policy and your statutory rights.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email support@servsafeskip.com. To locate your purchase, include the email you used at checkout. If you no longer have access to that email, you can verify your purchase another way — for example, the Paddle transaction or order number from your receipt, the last four digits of the card used, or the billing name. Include:

  • the checkout email (or alternative proof of purchase above);
  • the approximate date of purchase;
  • a brief description of the problem and, if it didn't work, what you saw.

We typically respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

If something is wrong, please contact us first — we resolve legitimate issues quickly. Asking us to fix a problem is optional, not a prerequisite: nothing here waives or limits your right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, or to raise a dispute directly with Paddle. Your statutory rights, card-network protections, and payment-provider dispute rights are fully preserved. We may contest disputes we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, and may suspend access tied to a chargeback while a dispute is investigated.

7. Questions

Refund questions: support@servsafeskip.com. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
